Chinggis Khaan International Airport is located 54 kilometers southwest of Ulaanbaatar and the journey to the city takes between 1 and 2.5 hours, depending on traffic conditions. Today, it is a large and comfortable airport serving both international and domestic flights to several cities and provinces across Mongolia.
Most international flights are operated by Mongolian Airlines (MIAT), Korean Air, Air China, Turkish Airlines, and Aeroflot. Domestic flights are operated by Mongolian carriers such as Hunnu Air, Aero Mongolia, and EZNIS Airways.
There are two ways to travel to Ulaanbaatar by air:
